Tall, straight-sided vase with a short neck, made to hold a few long stems.

The glaze moves from deep blue at the shoulder, with metallic breaks where it ran, down through paler blues to a warm sand colour. The base is left as bare white clay, flecked with black sand. The surface carries impressions of shells gathered from the beaches of Auckland's west coast and has black sand wedged into the white clay. One of one.
